Dianne Grossman founded Mallory’s Army in memory of her daughter to provide solutions to help combat bullying. She will be one of four speakers at the “Not My Child Syndrome” event, sponsored by Mallory’s Army.
Mallory was just 12 when she died in June.
“I am so proud of the Pompton Lakes community because they have really rallied behind us,” Grossman said on a Facebook Live video previewing the event.
Other speakers will include Pompton Lakes Police Lt. Ryan Chicon, author, nationally-certified school psychologist and founder of Bullies 2 Buddies Israel (Izzy) Kalman and therapist and author Cara Maksimow.
Attendees will learn about social and emotional wellbeing online, and “how to protect your children,” according to the invitation.
“Mallory’s army is about solutions, and not just awareness,” Grossman said.
The event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Carnival Center, 10 Lenox Ave. in Pompton Lakes.
